About our school
Gladiators Academy was opened in Baton Rouge Louisiana in 2005 by UFC Fighters Rich "No Love" Clementi, "Crazy" Tim Credeur and Kyle Bradley along with local businessman Tony Jarreau. The Academy was envisioned as a place where people could practice and train in modern martial arts disciplines with professional fighters who had experienced and developed their martial arts through the cages and rings of the Mixed Martial Arts landscape. Our vision was to create an environment that taught and utilized ancient martial arts knowledge and disciplines in a modern setting. Over the past 4 years Gladiators Academy has been represented by our athletes and students in the UFC, The Ultimate Fighter, Elite XC, Strikeforce, Bellator Fighting Championships, The Mundials Brazilain Jiu-Jitsu World Championships, The Pan-American Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships, The Sambo World Championships and the FILA Grappling World Championships along with a host of local grappling and fighting events as well. Our students and our athletes have built our name and our reputation as one that holds with the highest levels of competition, honor, respect, humility and dedication. We pride ourselves in what we have accomplished in competitions but more important is the spirit and heart that our athletes have displayed that has always kept with the ancient code of warriors like the Gladiators and Samarai's of old.
Gladiators Academy of Lafayette was opened in September of 2008 by UFC Fighter "Crazy" Tim Credeur and MMA Coach and Judo Master Josh Artigue. Our Academy has always and will always keep with the ancient traditions of Jiu-jitsu and Judo as our base training curriculum. Tim Credeur is a 1st Degree Black Belt under World Champion and 4th degree Blackbelt Rodrigo Medeiros. Our academy is a proud member of Rodrigo's organization BJJ Revolution Team. Tim Credeur is a Blackbelt and Josh Artigue is a 2nd degree Judo Blackbelt under the Kodokan Judo system. We also offer Western Boxing under the guidance of Boxing Coaches Paul Bowman and Julien Bonin. Our academy also offers Muay Thai Kickboxing taught by Tim Credeur. The Gladiators MMA classes are our specific form of Mixed Martial Arts training and development that has been developed over the last 15 years of Tim Credeur's and Josh Artigue's careers.
